We laugh to keep from crying!

So this last few weeks have been.....frustrating. I guess that's the best word. We got our 4th eviction notice over the phone this time from our current landlord. The other 3 evictions came when rent was less then one week late. We have not done anything crazy here. She got upset because we sent the rent in the mail to the address listed on our lease. Her office had moved a week or so before and she regretted to tell us. Even though the rent was sent on time, she said she was going to evict us anyway. So, Tyson, who is tired of her games, faxed her a paper telling her that we are going to leave. So, we start looking for somewhere to go. At first we thought it would be nice to move into Twin Falls, (we are about 20 minutes out in the country). But every place we looked at was really trashy, tiny, or in a bad neighborhood. The few nice places we found were all over $950 a month..... which is ridiculous for rent. So I started getting discouraged. Tyson talked to the Bishop and he started looking for homes in the ward for rent. He found a great house a block from the church. We looked at it and LOVED it! The rent is 150 dollars cheaper, it's not by a dairy, it's a ton bigger than where we are now, and we can have our pets with no extra charge. We decided to be honest with the woman showing us the house and tell her about where we live now and how our current property manager has "screwed us over" for lack of a better term. She seemed sympathetic and told us she would let us know soon if we could move in. That was a week ago. We've talked to her quite a few times since and she's basically undecided. She called our current landlord who said that we cant move because we signed a one year lease. We talked to a family friend who is an attorney and he told us that an eviction notice voids a lease. So basically our landlord right now is making it very hard to move.
In the meantime, we have been without heat and hot water for 5 days. We bought a space heater and we've been heating water on the stove to do dishes and wash in the mornings. We have the money to put in more propane, but since we are moving soon it doesn't make a lot of sense to put gas in the tank. It costs around $800 to fill up the tank, and 400 to put a little less than half in. The gas company will only come out here if we're going to fill it at least half full and we have to have the cash up front. We are hoping to rent something in the next couple of days so we can have a shower again. Here are some funny pictures I took of the girls having a bath in the kitchen sink this morning.
