HELENA

I've lived so close to Montana my whole life and seriously never felt the need to cross the border. Isn't that sad? Montana is beautiful! The city sits right in the mountains...and deer come down and just hang out in peoples yards. The city has so many old buildings that have been preserved and they are so intriguing. Downtown Helena is especially full of charm and history with buildings dating back to the late 1800's. We've had the opportunity to take the Tour Train, tour the Original Governor's Mansion, visit the Historical Society, and witness many wild deer around town. If you see a deer and slow down to take a picture....the deer will just stop what it's doing at look at you. Almost like they know how excited you are to see them. Helena was originally a mining town and many prominent people built mansions on the mountains. One of these beautiful homes we noticed was for sell and we found out they only want a million.5. Wow. I would just love to look inside.
Helena also has modern stores such as a Super Target, WalMart, and Pizza Hut. So I figure we'll be OK =-)
